Our Current Favourite Jewellery Pieces
We are a team of magpies at Baroque and have a love for all things sparkly. We’re fascinated by the creative process of design, making things with traditional techniques and by hand. There is nothing quite like being in artistic flow surrounded by the soundtrack of the Baroque workshop, but it doesn’t stop there! There is a sense of excitement when it comes to taking risks with an out-there design or a unique and rare stone combination. We try not to have ‘favourites’ when it comes to the jewellery we create, but sometimes it can’t be helped. We pour our heart and soul into every design, then to see its eye-catching energy in real life – it’s love at first sight!
Jason’s Current Favourite:
‘For me it has to be the 18ct rose gold beryl pendant with black diamond detail. Goldsmithing is my passion and for this design I wanted to work on creating a setting that didn’t use traditional claws but still had a classic and almost regal aesthetic. I cut away sections of the bezel setting that usually creates a frame around the centre stone to let in more light. This helps showcase the 2.50ct beryl’s sharp and icey colouration. Then I decided to take the risk and instead of following the latest jewellery trends, went for a strong contrast and adorned this unique centre stone with black diamonds. Each tiny black diamond is hand set around the entire setting, instantly giving the central beryl an ethereal quality and enhanced by the depth of the black diamonds. I just love the striking quality of this design, it catches your eye and that’s exactly what it’s meant to do.’

Pippa’s Current Favourite:
‘I have always loved pushing boundaries at Baroque and as bespoke jewellers we can pull inspirations from all eras of design, fashion and architecture. This is why my favorite is a ‘simple’ solitaire. The 18ct Rose Gold Vintage Style Engagement Ring with Long Oval Champagne Diamond has to be my current favourite. Don’t get me wrong, I love multi-stone or cluster rings but there is something about a single-centre-stone ring that makes my heart sing. We have taken inspiration from the Edwardian era and included a textural element of milgrain edge detail across the band and used the vintage thread and grain style stone setting to add a little diamond sparkle. It’s a showstopper in its own right with the warm hue of 18ct rose gold combined with the gentle champagne colour of this 1.15ct natural oval diamond. It was an easy choice for my current Baroque favourite.’

Yazmin’s Current Favourite:
‘I have always been a fan of the gold jewellery trend and the team knows all too well about my love affair with all things yellow gold. This is why my heart lies with the Molten Collection and especially our Molten pendants. We hear lots of jewellery trend news about how to wear pendants, debating whether to keep it simple or stacking multiple pendants at once, but we think your jewellery should represent the authentic you. Jewellery trends come and go but a Molten pendant will serve you forever. It can be dressed up or down and goes with everything. Its molten texture gives it a tactile feel and a natural aesthetic, finished with a matte effect, this simple design doesn’t need to shout to get noticed’

Emma’s Current Favourite:
‘Engagement ring styles change over the years but I have always loved 18ct white gold engagement rings and this is why my favorite has to be the 18ct White Gold Heart Shaped Unicorn Sapphire Ring with Rainbow Halo. I know the name is quite a mouthful but there are just so many unique aspects to this ring, it’s hard to put into words. The centre stone is like nothing I have ever seen before, and I’ve been working at Baroque for over 10 years! From time to time we’ve been lucky enough to get our hands on unicorn diamonds but never a unicorn sapphire. This rare sapphire has unique inclusions which create a diffused and iridescent effect, it’s really out of this world. Then to top it all off, this 18ct white gold engagement ring has a pastel hued sapphire halo. I mean how could this not be your favourite! I dream of creating a matching wedding band to go with it too – this showstopper is calling out for a bespoke wedding band. There are just so many ideas, from a matching rainbow eternity ring or even some kind of wedding band heart inspired design. The possibilities are endless for this one of a kind engagement ring’

It’s always hard to choose just one favourite…
